I thought that I'd share with You about a couple verses of scripture as we have some wonderful tea, I hope that You'll enjoy them both. I want each of You to turn in Your bibles to "John 16:32,33" and let's look at this together, in these two most powerful readings I've learned a little bit within self just how our precious Jesus truly had so much peace on that horrible night of His own betrayal and what could I learn from it and that's just what I have done for self and just wanted to share this with you. 32 Behold, the hour cometh, yea, is now come, that ye shall be scattered, every man to his own, and shall leave me alone: and yet I am not alone, because the Father is with me.
As a child of God inside of myself I had often wondered how in the world did Jesus Christ have so much peace when He knew that His hour was almost up to meet with His coming death and then going to meet with His father in Heaven. WOW! I would have been nuts and my insides on the inside of myself and cried my heart out just as Jesus did in the garden it would have been the same [almost] I would have been rolling and screaming my heart out unto the Father not to let it happen just as He did when he already knew what was about to happen and could hardly say any prayers and the tears would have been like a mighty roaring river coming down..let alone being quiet enough to hear myself speak inside of my self which would have been nuts. It would have taken someone to speak with me and pray with me enough to get my self settled then I could pray and weep for what was about to happen to me then to let it go to God. I know that someone out there knows just what I'm sharing with you has just about the same things going on inside of them too. Let's not be in denial about it. I know you get the idea anyways. So here is some answers for us all: | ||
Christ's discoveries of himself.
Here is a plain declaration of Christ's coming from the Father, and his return to him. The Redeemer, in his entrance, was God manifest in the flesh, and in his departure was received up into glory. By this saying the disciples improved in knowledge. Also in faith; to Now are we sure. to Alas! they knew not their own weakness. The Divine nature did not desert the human nature, but supported it, and put comfort and value into Christ's sufferings. And while we have God's favourable
presence, we are happy, and ought to be easy, though all the world forsake us. Peace in Christ is the only true peace, in him alone believers have it. Through him we have peace with God, and so in him we have peace in our own minds. We ought to be encouraged, because Christ has overcome the world before us. But while we think we stand, let us take heed lest we fall. We know not how we should act if brought into temptation; let us watch and pray without ceasing, that we may not be left to
ourselves.
Just as He had done we ought to do the same thing in our life, No matter what it happens to look like to us living in this world today. When we literally become anxious about anything that rears it's ugly head at us we ought to be in prayer at the moment it comes unto us in asking for our God's will so we will be able to retain God's peace inside of us and then to thank the Lord in the situation as His peace comes upon us because He had heard our request, and His great love, concerns, and His full understanding of my hurt, habits, hang-ups over powered it all because of His sovereignity had redeemed us even though any of our situations, circumstances didn't change and were No loner tied up in those chains that had kept us bound up is gone and allow Him to take it from us so we then can live in peace with Jesus Christ. Praise unto The Lord, our Savior, whom daily bears our burdens in Ps.68:19. It so wonderful to know our precious Jesus in all that He does in our behalf. AMEN. close1in1956.Let us but feel that He has His heart set upon us, that He is watching us from those heavens with tender interest, that He is following us day by day as a mother follows here babe in his first attemps to walk alone, that He has set His love upon us, and in spite of ourselves is working out for us His hightest will and blessing, as far as we will let Him - and then nothing can discourage us.
